You're not leaving. You just want a kitchen that works for the life you live in it. We design and build full kitchen transformations.

Sean, the owner of Veritas, walks you through exactly how a kitchen remodel works with us, from the first conversation to the day it's done. A few minutes, and nothing to sign up for.
Start here
It takes about a minute. If it looks like a fit, Sean will come out, sit down with you, and walk you through what your kitchen could look like and what it could cost.
What happens next
Mary Kathryn, our office manager, calls to say hello and learn a little more about your kitchen: what's frustrating you about it now, what you're picturing, and when you'd like it done. Then she gets you on Sean's calendar.
Sean comes to your home, looks at your kitchen, and listens to what you're picturing. If you need help seeing what's possible, he can do that too.
Then he sits down with you and walks through how we'd handle your kitchen, from the initial design to the day it's done. You hear it from the person who owns the company, not a proposal in the mail three weeks later.
Come ready to talk budget. Not because we want to spend all of it, but because we can't design a real kitchen without a real number.
Who we build for
Most of the people we work with have been in their homes ten to twenty years or more. They love their neighborhood and the memories they've made there. What they want is a kitchen where family Thanksgiving actually works, where people move easily from room to room instead of crowding into one corner while everyone else squeezes past.
And they want to get there without becoming one of the stories they've heard.
The contractor who took a large check up front and then got hard to find.
Weeks without an update, while you wondered who was coming and when.
The design you loved that came back at twice what you had in mind.
A kitchen is the heart of the home. While it's torn out, you're rotating between the microwave, a hot plate, and takeout. Not knowing where your remodel stands is stress on top of stress. We built our process so you never have to wonder.
One of our clients in North Raleigh had lived in her home for over twenty years. She loved to entertain, but her nineties kitchen felt cramped and lopsided. Guests crowded into one corner while everyone else tried to pass through.
Instead of building an addition, we turned her dining room into a scullery and opened up the kitchen. When she saw the design, she knew that was the kitchen she wanted.

How we protect the dream
The worst way to lose a dream kitchen is to fall in love with a design and then find out it can't be built for what you planned to spend. That's how most remodels go: a designer draws the dream, you find a builder to price it, and it's back to redesign.
We do it backwards, on purpose. Before we draw anything, we ask what you're comfortable investing. Then we design your kitchen to fit that number. At any point during design you can raise your budget, lower it, or change the scope. It's your kitchen.
Your designer and your builder work together from the first sketch, so they aren't fighting over your kitchen and you aren't stuck translating between them.
We design to your number, not past it. That's what we call Budget Backwards.
No surprises
You don't pay a dollar until design and planning begin. We never hold your money.
Each bill covers the exact expenses from those two weeks, plus the markup agreed in your contract. We only bill for what we've earned.
Your estimate is itemized, and every cost and receipt lives in one place you can open anytime. No one-page mystery number.
You, our team, and every tradesperson talk in one place, so you always know who's showing up and what's next.
Who shows up
He owns Veritas. He has a love for design and functional spaces, he knows what things cost, and he keeps current on building science, which is an unfortunately rare combination for contractors.
He's also not going to try to win your kitchen at all costs. If what you want to spend isn't realistic for the kitchen you're picturing, he'll tell you, even if it means we don't get the work. That's one of the most useful things you'll get from an hour with him, whether we end up working together or not.
Local since 1989
Veritas means truth in Latin. The biggest problem in construction isn't skill. It's communication, and when communication gets weak or unclear, white lies usually follow.
Our family has been in Wake Forest since 1989. When you build in the town you live in, your reputation follows you into the grocery store. You never know which former client you're about to run into, and we'd like every one of them to have nothing but good things to say.
We're not perfect, and neither is our team. But we'll do good work, we'll stand by it with one of the best warranties in the industry, and we'll tell you the truth the whole way through.
In their words
The price was reasonable and they were very clear about what was and was not included.
Their integrity and customer service is what set them apart.
They genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction.
Questions people ask first
Before you book
New layouts. Walls that move. A kitchen where family Thanksgiving actually works, and people move easily from room to room instead of crowding into one corner.
We work best with homeowners who are ready to talk openly about budget and make real decisions. Design and planning take time before anyone picks up a hammer, so if there's a holiday you want to host in the new kitchen, the conversation starts well before it.
If you've been waiting to do this right, this is where it starts.
